NewLIFE with BareSkin specializes in hair removal treatment services. Our state-of-the-art laser is designed specifically to be most effective for this treatment. This is true laser (monochromatic) therapy, not IPL or “light therapy.” Our client’s satisfaction speaks to this technological distinction.
Laser Hair Removal
The Cynosure laser is the most effective treatment for hair removal and best suited for more skin types and all body sites. Women can safely remove pigmented hair from areas such as the face, lip, neck, arms, underarms, legs, and bikini area. Men often seek relief from excessive hair on the back, neck, ears and chest.
Treatment Sessions
Treatment sessions are spaced apart to allow hair growth cycles to resume, the optimal time for laser treatment. Our physicians are particularly knowledgeable regarding endocrine (hormonal) causes of excess hair growth in women such as PCOS. This can be helpful in difficult cases for better, long-term, improved results.
Consultation
Consultation with our laser technicians provides the needed education for all cosmetic treatments. Clients gain understanding to set realistic expectations for optimum results. As professionals, we will answer your questions and address your concerns.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis uses electrical energy to remove unwanted hair, and is ideal for troublesome individual hairs and hair without pigment that the laser cannot target. Unlike laser, which targets multiple hairs at a time, electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time. Electrolysis is the best tool for blonde, gray, white, and red hairs. As with laser hair removal, electrolysis requires a series of treatments that correspond with hair growth cycles.

How it works
The Cynosure Apogee Elite Plus Laser has both Alexandrite and Nd Yag wavelengths, making it safe and effective for all skin types. The Alexandrite is used with most lighter skin types. The ability to safely treat darker skin types 5 and 6 is the greatest advancement and is unique to using the Nd Yag. And the constant skin cooling feature of this laser allows for more comfortable and rapid treatment than other older laser types. Previous dissatisfaction with older lasers should not discourage a trial with these newer technologies.
Unlike the Cynosure Laser, other light technologies such as IPL use mixed wavelengths, and while they may be effective for skin rejuvenation, they are not ideal for hair removal. Their shallow depth does not reach the hair follicle. While on the surface the hairs appear affected, the root and bulb of the unwanted hair will remain intact and may regrow later.
